What Makes a copegrand Renovation Different?
A luxury renovation deserves the same level of planning, discipline, and care as a custom home.
At CopeGrand, we approach renovations with the understanding that we are not starting with a blank canvas. We are working within an existing home — its structure, history, systems, materials, limitations, and the way it has been lived in over time. That requires a thoughtful process before construction begins.
Our renovation projects begin with the same level of pre-construction planning we bring to our custom builds. We evaluate existing conditions, review structural and mechanical considerations, study moisture and durability concerns, coordinate plans and selections, and help clients understand what will be required before work begins. When a renovation includes an addition, expansion, or major structural change, we also consider how the existing site, access, drainage, elevations, and building conditions may shape the project.
The goal is not simply to make a home look new. It is to make it live better, perform stronger, and feel as intentional as if it had been designed that way from the beginning.
1
Introduction & Discovery
We begin by understanding the home, your goals, the scope of work, and the level of complexity involved. This is where we begin identifying what matters most in order for the home to live better.
2
existing conditions review
Before construction begins, we study the structure, systems, moisture concerns, floor elevations, access, and other existing conditions that may influence the renovation.
3
pre-construction planning
We coordinate plans, estimates, permitting needs, trade partner input, selections, sequencing, and the details required to move the project forward with greater clarity.
4
design and material coordination
Renovations often require old and new materials to work together. We help coordinate the decisions that affect flow, finish transitions, durability, and the overall feel of the home.
5
construction
management
Once construction begins, our team manages the daily details, trade partners, scheduling, communication, quality control, and problem-solving required to execute the renovation.
6
Completion & Long-Term Care
At completion, we help clients understand the updates made to their home, the systems involved, and the care needed to protect its performance over time.
Ready to renovate With Confidence?
A thoughtful renovation begins with understanding what already exists. If you are considering a whole-home renovation, addition, coastal update, or significant interior transformation, our team can help you evaluate the possibilities, plan with clarity, and move forward with confidence.
