Deepwater Estate Renovation

PROJECT SCOPE

Renovation

LOCATION

Hollywood, South Carolina

Set on a waterfront property within The Plantation at Stono Ferry , this renovation began long before construction. CopeGrand Homes helped guide the homeowners through the due diligence and pre-construction process, studying the home’s potential, livability, long-term value, and renovation needs before they purchased it sight unseen. What followed was a deeply personal transformation — one rooted in trust, collaboration, and a clear understanding of how the clients wanted to live in their forever home.

Working alongside architect Colin Cope and interior designer Rachel Ohly, the team reimagined the home with a more modern, light-filled floor plan while preserving its traditional character. Thoughtful details — from the hidden scullery and art niche to preserved arched openings, custom trim moments, and even an elevator designed with the family dog in mind — brought both beauty and purpose to the renovation. The result is a Lowcountry waterfront home that feels timeless, personal, and highly livable, blending classic Charleston-area design with the comfort and functionality of modern coastal living.
