Island Links Residence

Set along the golf course in Wild Dunes, this Isle of Palms home reflects what can happen when the right client, architect, and builder team are brought together from the very beginning. Featured in Issue 148 of Modern Home Builders magazine, the residence was shaped through a highly collaborative process with local architect Collin Cope, with every decision guided by the clients’ lifestyle, vision, and goals for the home.

The result is a bespoke modern coastal residence that feels both sophisticated and relaxed, with clean architectural lines, thoughtful details, and an easy connection to its golf course setting. From early planning through construction, the project was approached with careful listening, clear communication, and a shared commitment to bringing the design to life in a way that was both beautiful and buildable.

One of the home’s most personal details came from the clients’ desire to create a hidden doggy door for their puppies. Closed, it blends seamlessly into the living area. Open, it leads to a ramp, a puppy retreat, a swing chair, and access to the grass below. It is a small but memorable example of how a custom home can support not only the way a family lives, but the details that make the home distinctly theirs.
