Ansonborough Restoration

Set within the heart of Charleston’s historic district, this downtown restoration was guided by a clear goal: improve the home’s function and livability while preserving the character that makes the property distinctly Charleston.

Over the course of four months, the project focused on remodeling the ground floor, including updates to the bedroom, bathroom, and closets, along with refined trim and lighting details that brought a more finished, intentional feel to the interiors.

Outside, the property was carefully landscaped to create a more usable outdoor living space while respecting the requirements of Charleston’s historic preservation guidelines. The result is a home that feels more comfortable, functional, and current, while retaining the charm, scale, and timeless appeal of its downtown setting.
